The City is soliciting proposals from qualified Proponents to undertake the design and construction of commercial playground equipment.  The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, removal of all play equipment (including foundations) as well as design, supply and installation of new equipment, including restoration of the Ellerdale Street Park Playground located at 285 Ellerdale Street in Saint John.  The intent is for this work to take place in 2026 as per the below specifications, terms, and conditions.  However, if this is not achievable due to lengthy delivery periods for the new equipment, the City is open to the work being completed in the Spring of 2027.  

A scalable design solution based on the available funding is required. The scope of work, sketches, and photos provided as part of this package are for information only. Verification of dimensions and site conditions is the responsibility of the Proponent. The Proponent shall examine the site conditions carefully, prior to developing designs, to ensure that details are appropriate for existing conditions.

The Proponent shall be aware of and follow any orders, policies, directives, standards and guidelines issued by any governmental authority, governing all or any part of the work under this RFP.
