The work consists generally of:
 Removal and relocation of an existing wooden roof structure;
 Bypassing activities to direct plant flow around a concrete chamber and channels
including pumping, piping and flow diversion;
 Removal of existing UV system including reaction chamber and concrete surround;
 Isolation and modification of a concrete chamber / channel over which a new building
will be constructed;
 Construction of a new building above the modified concrete chamber / channels
including all mechanical and electrical equipment;
 Coordination with the supplier of the Trojan UV disinfection unit (pre-purchased by
the City) for delivery and storage until installation;
 Installation and commissioning of a Trojan UV disinfection unit which has been prepurchased
by the City;
 Supply and installation of 25mm diameter buried water service piping;
 Supply and installation of mechanical ventilation and water systems including
modifications to the existing control building water service for the new UV system and
facility;
 Supply and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems including existing
control building service modifications for the new UV system and facility;
 Supply and installation of process systems and gates, as shown on the drawings and
as described in the specifications;
 Site works and landscaping of area disturbed as a result of the construction including
restoration of surfaces following installation of the Works; and
 All other related work as shown on the Drawings and described in these
specifications.
