Description: 

The work consists generally of supplying all labour, materials and equipment for the excavation, installation, backfilling, commissioning, testing of
watermain, new storm sewer, relocation of existing services pipe, all associated fittings and appurtenances, structures, catch basin leads,
manholes, catch basins, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, clay brick pavers, roadbed granular materials, asphalt pavement, landscaping, street signage,
light standard relocations, and associated landscape features and accessories as required to complete the work on Water Street (Princess Street to King
Street) as per the Specifications and Drawings. More specifically, the project includes the supply and installation of:
 Approximately 131m of 1800mm diameter concrete storm sewer.
 Approximately 29m of 1050mm diameter concrete storm sewer.
 Approximately 3m of 750mm diameter concrete storm sewer.
 Approximately 4m of 600mm diameter PVC storm sewer.
 Approximately 6m of 300mm diameter PVC storm sewer.
 Approximately 13m of 200mm diameter PVC storm sewer.
 Approximately 5m of 200mm diameter PVC, DR18 Water Main.
 Approximately 20m of 250mm diameter PVC, DR18 Water Main.
 The Contractor is responsible for dewatering excavations and/or working around tide-cycles as required to complete the installation of pipes and structures.
 The Contractor is responsible to coordinate shut-downs of existing infrastructure where required to complete the works. This will include but is not limited to removal and/or collection and disposal of all wastewater where required, for all work that impacts existing infrastructure prior to, and during connections to said existing infrastructure.
 Temporary works including but not limited to security fencing, Traffic Control Plan, signage, shoring, dewatering, sedimentation control, flushing & disinfection valves, temporary water service, etc.;
 Approximately 190 linear meters of concrete curb and gutter;
 Approximately 120m of variable concrete sidewalk;
 Approximately 100 square meters of tight-pack clay brick pavers complete with concrete base slab;
 Approximately 55 square meters of interlocking grey concrete brick pavers complete with 25mm masonry sand leveling course.
 Approximately 190 square metres of cold milling;
 Approximately 141 metric tonnes of Superpave 12.5 and 353 metric tonnes of Superpave 19;
 Removal of 2 existing Harbour Passage light poles to be delivered to the City.
 Removal of 6 existing light pole bases and the Installation of 6 Heritage Style light pole bases, 190m of electrical conduit and pull string;
 Removal and reinstallation of an existing concrete-encased 6 conduit duct bank; and
 Site Works, landscaping, restoration, pavement markings, and all other work all as shown on the Drawings and described in these Specifications.

This project is to be completed in accordance with the 2025 City of Saint John General Specifications.
