The City of Saint John wishes to receive proposals from qualified contractors with the experience, personnel, and resources required to carry out a comprehensive Fire Hydrant Inspection and Water Distribution System Performance Assessment Program. The proposed program will evaluate the condition, reliability, hydraulic performance, and water quality characteristics of fire hydrants across the City’s water distribution system and provide detailed reporting to support asset management, maintenance planning, and capital improvements. The City maintains approximately 3,500 fire hydrants within its distribution system and intends to inspect approximately one-third of the inventory each year, resulting in a complete inspection cycle every three years. |
